Day 1/10 Diet Challenge

I have set myself on a diet challenge journey to bring back my will-power to lose weight faster. This act has been motivated by my over-confidence thinking I can loose a bit in my calorie defisit diet because I know I can take control and will not gain weight. But, I was wrong. I haven’t gained it back yet however my weight is stuck, again!

So I decided that I am going to do a 10 day stricter diet to see how far I can go in shedding some kilos. I have been in calorie deficit diet for 4 months now, the scale has been slow (only lost around 4 kgs) but my body measurement has shrinked a bit. They have decreased by averagely 2 – 3 cms and my wedding ring has been a bit loose.

The mission is to cut rice by 50% (I am Indonesian, I love rice), reduce fried food by 75% and cut flour and added sugar by 100%. Also, no more food after 6PM.

I will disclose the result at the end of the 10th days. For now, just follow along with my journey. Do join, if you want!

DAY 1 of 10 Days Diet Challenge

I didn’t take picture of my breakfast. It’s a bowl of greek yoghurt with apples, blueberries and granola, accompanied with two pieces of dimsums. Had a cup of black coffee to start the day.

My lunch is 150gr of white rice mixed with lentils, fried with a bit of oil and garlic, 1 hard boiled egg, 4 pieces left over tofu and slices of green paprika.

I snacked on 3 pieces of steamed sweet potato dipped in a spicy Indonesian sambal, with a cup of green tea.

Dinner was 80gr white rice mixed with lentils, sayur lodeh (Indonesian coconut milk soup with veggies and sweet corns), fried chicken thigh Indonesian style (I know I want to cut the fried food…oopsy?!)

Today’s workout menu was lower body strength training. I did that for 49 minutes. Need to intensify the reps more in the coming days.

Btw I cheated with some peanuts. I hope I can pull it off better tomorrow.

PS: I scanned all my food including calculating my calorie defisit plan using BitePal (paid version).
