When I filled up my calendar with tons of new plan, new meetings and events back in early 2020 I had no idea that in couple of months the world was going to shut down. I still remember my team and I had our private Money Class on roll that was supposed to happen in March. But we cancelled it the moment our government announced for a temporary lock down.
Everything was closed. Almost every human being retreated and hunkered down at home. Hand sanitizers’ and masks’ price were rocketing. Schools shifted to online. The outside world turned quiet.
I was on a high speed mode to grow my insurance business. When the virus broke I spent hours of youtube research to find the best way to run my business online, more importantly how to score new clients from instagram.
It was an exciting experience I must say. For three years I was pumping daily contents that would get me my target market and ultimately new clients. Hours of research, planning, drafting, editing, down to copywriting on how to close a client were definitely paid off. Almost 85% of my new clients were coming from instagram.
But, it got me burned out. I have never thought that I would have had enough of content creation especially on social media. I thought it was my passion that I would never be tired of.
Guess, I was wrong. There was a point when I suddenly didn’t feel like creating contents anymore. The ideas were there, but I couldn’t make myself to execute it. I was sick of the whole marketing genre, the niche, the hook, the call to action, and what not. For once I just want to make content that I like that is more personal without having to sell or to generate revenue, or even to garner a follower.
So I pivoted. I went back to my personal account and just do what I want. Including reviving my blogging journey with this one. I felt so much happier, and relieved. It is so fullfilling to be able to post something without any pressure.

Right now I am slowing down my pace. I released the urge to pump content every day and just taking it easy. Taking care my existing clients are a priority now, as well as taking care of my mental health.
The whole experience had brought me a new perspective. I used to not being able to relate when someone said that their current situation is enough, that they didn’t want to increase their income nor made a better living. I used to think that every one wanted to be one level up always.
But now I got it. We all dream differently. Our goals can change over time and can be different one another. If your goal is to have a structured life with a 9 to 5 job and a weekend with family, good for you. If your goal is to pursue the highest dream, the highest income, to become richer and richer, good for you too.
If you want to be famous and vibing all the way up, I am cheering for you. If you want to stay low key and living a quiet life, I am giving you two thumbs up.
I think right now I am making peace with myself. My goals have changed, my dreams are reseting. I am taking my time.
