After six months of scorching Sun and high temperature, we can finally say that it is officially winter in the UAE. Jimmy and I have been devouring the cooler weather right from the get go. Sometimes on the weekend we take our coffee and sandwich to the beach, indulging the moment while basking under the Sun that is now bearable and cozy. On other occasion we go for evening walks along the Marjan Island just to breath the winter air outdoor.
At home, my daily routine has not changed. After sending off Jimmy to the office and the kids to school, I take my black coffee and start my day. I would write on my journal, blog, edit videos for my tiktok and reels, scroll the threads or just simply enjoy my solitude while listening to the music, sometimes from my spotify playlist many of times from the youtube on tv.
Laufey’s songs have been my go to background music these days. Somehow her voice and melodies bring the warmth into the winter ambiance. I have also started to listening V’s version of Cheek to Cheek. His voice in jazzy songs is just perfect. While Laufey brings in the warmth, V takes in the old memories and soothing the feeling while I reminisce.
My playlist is now on winter mode. I used to blast my BTS songs, especially JK’s 3D and Se7en, also AgustD’s Daechwita, or some 90s songs whenever we are driving. But now, it’s time for some jazzy delights. These are the songs in my winter playlist that never fail to keep my heart warm:
